What to include
If you are reporting a bug in a tool, it helps enormously to include the tool name, the input you used (with anything sensitive removed), what you expected, and what actually happened. Screenshots are useful. Browser and operating system versions are useful for anything that looks like a rendering or JavaScript problem.
Corrections
If an explanation on this site is wrong, misleading or out of date, tell us. Security guidance ages badly and we would rather fix an article than leave it standing. Please include a link to the page and, if you have one, a reference we can check.
Responsible disclosure
If you have found a vulnerability in this site itself, please report it privately to admin@bitcops.net before disclosing it publicly, and give us a reasonable window to fix it. Do not access, modify or exfiltrate data belonging to other users while investigating. Please do not run automated scanners against the site.
Never send us secrets
Do not include passwords, private keys, session tokens, API credentials or confidential customer data in any message. If a report requires such material to reproduce, describe it instead and we will arrange a safer channel.
Business and press
For anything else, including partnership or press enquiries, use the same address and mark the subject accordingly.
